Worship Assistants
There are many opportunities for members to participate in our worship experience.
- Greeters: Greeters welcome and greet attendees as they arrive for worship and provide them with worship material and seating assistance.
- Acolytes and Crucifers: This is a great opportunity for teen members to serve. These young people play an important part in assisting with offerings and Holy Communion.
- Liturgical Assistants: This role assists the Pastor during worship and includes the role of cantor and assisting with the distribution of Holy Communion. Liturgical Assistants are assigned on a rotating basis, usually once a month.
- Ushers: Ushers facilitate the offering and assist with communion.
- Communion Assistant: This role includes receiving the communion elements, setting up the altar for the pastor, and assisting in the distribution of communion.
- Eucharistic Assistants: Distribute consecrated wine to the attendees during the communion service.
- Sound System Operators: An upgraded sound system was installed in the sanctuary in 2018. The system requires trained volunteer operators on a rotating basis. The sound system is used for worship services, weddings, funerals, and community concerts hosted by FELC.
